Survey: EU End-of-Waste Criteria of Construction and Demolition Waste

About the GROW/2022/OP/0015 project

RECONMATIC has a great interest and is already in synergy with the project, Background Data Collection for Future EU End-of-Waste (EoW) Criteria of Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) – GROW/2022/OP/0015 that has been commissioned by the European Commission. The objective of the project is to collect and analyse data and background information on construction and demolition waste/by-product streams. The data and information collected will be used to generate a priority list for end-of-waste criteria for the waste/by-product streams identified.

Stakeholder Survey

At the heart of this project is stakeholder participation in a Europe-wide survey. The purpose of this survey is to gather information about various waste streams. The survey will cover topics such as the demand, value, and existence of product standards for the material streams. It is open to all stakeholders, and the information collected will be used as input for further analysis in developing the priority list. In the context of construction and demolition waste (CDW), the stakeholders are European and national business associations, non-governmental organisations, labour unions, national statistic authorities, national road authorities, public authorities for CDW and waste management, cities, regions, individual companies, research institutes, standardisation bodies, and certification organisations/schemes in the EU-27 countries.

RECONMATIC in synergy with the GROW/2022/OP/0015 project kindly invites you to complete the survey questions that are relevant to your knowledge or experience. (It is preferable that the survey is completed in English, but if this is not possible, it can be also completed in German, French, Spanish, or Polish (language selection on the top left of the survey page).) Thank you in advance for your participation. It is valuable and greatly appreciated!

The survey was launched at the Stakeholder Kick-Off Meeting on 10 May 2023. You can download the slides from the stakeholder kick-off meeting on 10.05.2023 here:

The survey is public and will be open until 31 August 2023. Participating stakeholders can choose whether or not they wish to appear on the project stakeholder map. This is an excellent opportunity to become recognised among the CDW community in Europe. Find other participants on a map and a short description of their organisation on the page Stakeholder Profiles.

Contact the project coordination for questions and if you want to share further information at end-of-waste@tauw.com.
