Digital Construction Week is the show to attend for anyone interested in using digital tools for construction. More than 150 companies attend to showcase their latest technology and digital solutions, and it’s often the place to be for product launches. This year’s edition of Digital Construction Week took place at ExCel London on 17-18 May 2023, where more than 6400 attendees had the opportunity to benefit from over 120 hours of lectures and demonstrations by speakers from the industry.
BIMBox, a partner of the RECONMATIC project, was there on May 17th to speak about an information exchange dataset for Construction & Demolition (C&D) Waste they are developing, as part of our project. The talk by Chris Crookes, the Managing Director of BIMBox, and the Director, Robert Hempel was titled "The road to zero waste: Developing a structured data set for C&D waste” and focused to the key points included in the article provided by their team here. This article explores the initial research that has taken place in developing #WASTEie alongside the 23 global partners as part of the RECONMATIC.
