Take Part in the Digital Information Management System (DIMS)

Digital information management system (DIMS) tailored for construction and demolition waste management. The tool we’re developing focuses on improving data collection, integration, and analysis throughout the design, procurement, and construction, and decommissioning.

By using open data standards such as IFC (Industry Foundation Classes), we extract detailed project information from BIM models—ranging from product, materials, and manufacturer details to spatial data. Consequently, this level of granularity enables higher access control, performance monitoring, and physical asset reporting. On the other hand, the system allows stakeholders—from contractors to policymakers—to collaborate in a shared digital environment, encourages proactive decision-making, and reduces the likelihood of unexpected issues on-site.

As part of the RECONMATIC project, we’ve developed the Digital Information Management System (DIMS) to improve circularity, reduce waste, and contribute to resource efficiency.
