Vitalij Tetervov – Research & Development Manager, BIMBox


Vitalij Tetervov is an information management professional with a proven track record across support, management, and training in education, industrial, commercial, and infrastructure sectors.

He has built extensive expertise in BIM implementation by guiding multiple Tier 1 and Tier 2 organisations through the BSI Verification scheme, and is highly versed in the ISO and British standards that underpin the industry. As a Project Information Manager on numerous ISO 19650 projects, Vitalij has supported clients, contractors, and designers across the full project lifecycle, with a consistent focus on structured information exchange requirements. He lectures at the University of Salford and Liverpool University, and holds the COBie Practitioner certification.


As Research & Development Manager at BIMBox, Vitalij leads the organisation's contribution to the Reconmatic consortium. His work has centred on developing the WASTEie dataset, enabling interoperable information exchange between software applications including BIM authoring tools. He has further developed generative design solutions that optimise waste management through rapid design iteration, and contributed to material data banks, waste predictor tools, and integrated waste management systems. This work was recognised with the buildingSMART Sustainability Award. Vitalij authored the project report Automated Solutions for Sustainable and Circular Construction and Demolition Waste Management, alongside a five-part WASTEie article series published on BIM+.
