Václav Nežerka

- CTU

Václav Nežerka is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague, where his interdisciplinary research bridges advanced digital tools and sustainable construction. With a strong foundation in mechanics and materials, his work primarily leverages artificial intelligence, computer vision, and machine learning to drive the digitalization of civil engineering processes and support the circular economy.

Reflecting his commitment to sustainable innovation, he serves as a Work Package Leader for the Horizon Europe RECONMATIC project, developing automated solutions for the sustainable, circular management of construction and demolition waste (CDW). He is also the Principal Investigator for multiple national grants that pioneer the valorization of recycled aggregates via AI-controlled sorting lines and explore biologically driven upcycling for carbon-negative building materials.

Bridging academic research and industrial application, Václav is the co-founder of the 2026 CTU spin-off company Constriq, which develops the Cloud2BIM-AI platform for advanced point-cloud processing and scan-to-BIM workflows.
