
Pavel Švejda

Pavel Švejda is a second-year Master’s student in Civil Engineering, specializing in Structural Engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague. Since 2022, he has been affiliated with the Department of Physics as a research assistant and software developer, focusing on the application of computational methods in the digitalization of construction processes.
His work centers on developing algorithms and software tools that bridge CAD/BIM workflows with advanced data processing. He has contributed to projects involving the vectorization of technical drawings, their automated transformation into BIM models, and the algorithmic optimization of building component layouts using generative design principles.
Alongside his academic activities, Pavel has gained industry experience in energy data analysis and the development of web-based applications, with a particular focus on building energy performance evaluation and automated data extraction.
He is also the creator of a web application for optimizing planar element layouts and automating CNC cutting plans. His professional interests lie at the intersection of construction automation, computational optimization, and the integration of digital technologies to enhance efficiency and sustainability in the construction industry.
