
Kaloyan Ratchev -Vangavis
Kaloyan Ratchev is a passionate ecosystem builder, entrepreneur, investor, and startup mentor. He is the Founder and CEO of Vangavis, a leading innovation platform operating at the intersection of ecosystems and networks in Europe.
Kaloyan is the Chairman of the Danube CiDiCon Cluster amd also serves as an Executive Board Member of the Brussels-based European AI Forum (EAIF), the largest AI umbrella organization in Europe, representing more than 3,000 AI startups and companies across 13 European countries.
Kaloyan is also the founder and organizer of Onco:Innovate, the European oncology innovation network - an initiative in health innovation positioned at the crossroads of traditional oncological networks and modern startup and innovation ecosystems. Last but not least, he is the voluntary chairman of the “Iwan Schischmanow” Bulgarian school in Vienna, teaching 200+ kids from 1 to 12 grade.
Kaloyan Ratchev holds a Master’s degree in Sociology and Economics from the University of Economics in Vienna and has worked for more than 20 years in ecosystem development, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Next to circularity in the construction sector, his current areas of focus include AI and deep tech, health and life sciences, technology transfer, and science-based innovation.
