Juan Ferriz-Papi 

- Salford University

With over 25 years of experience in construction and academia, Dr Ferriz-Papi combines practical expertise with research in sustainability, life cycle assessment (LCA), and the circular economy.


He began his career in Spain as a construction manager and surveyor (1997–2009), delivering more than 1,000 new homes, as well as undertaking inspection and renovation projects as a building consultant. Since 2001, he has lectured at universities in Spain and the UK (currently at the University of Salford).


He contributes to international innovation projects (e.g. RECONMATIC, 2022–2026; Future Homes UKRI, 2023–2025), industry forums (e.g. UKGBC Circular Economy Forum), and professional networks (e.g. CIRIA Council).

Alongside his academic activity, Dr Ferriz-Papi is currently launching construction sustainability consultancy, training, and innovation initiatives in Spain with Decarbonize Construction Solutions Ltd, and contributing to construction digitalisation and data solutions with 3S DATA Ltd in the UK.
