Robert Hempel – Director, BIMBox

Robert Hempel is a Director at BIMBox with deep knowledge of technical BIM literature and its practical application across information management and ISO 19650. He is recognised for his ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, achievable methods that drive meaningful outcomes for organisations at every stage of their digital transformation.

Central to Robert's approach is helping clients understand the inherent value of their data, and how it can be structured, integrated, and transformed into actionable insight across the full asset lifecycle. He works strategically with a diverse range of public and private sector organisations, from NHS Trusts and private developers to contractors operating in education and beyond - to develop tailored digital strategies suited to their needs. He has partnered with a wide range of major organisations to develop core information requirements and embed ISO 19650-aligned processes into company policy.

As strategic lead on the WASTEie project, Robert directed quality assurance and set the overall direction of the programme, working collaboratively with consortium members to ensure outputs met the standards required for accuracy and functionality. He brought structured information management expertise and cross-sector experience to bear on the shared goal of advancing sustainable construction and demolition waste solutions, playing a central role in shaping the project's approach and deliverables.
